⭐️ Sacred Space ⭐️
“Space” is one of my soul words (aka it resonates deeply).
It is beneficial for me to have space- space to respond, to create, to manifest, to connect to myself, and to just be.
I also want to feel a certain way in the physical space I am in so I am sure to make that a priority.
I love when my space feels like a sanctuary, a home for my soul; like a temple hidden in plain sight.
One of the ways I cultivate that for myself is by creating little altars wherever I am. I especially love adding special touches that delight all of the senses like fresh cut flowers, incense, and ambient music.
It’s a small thing I can do to create the type of environment I prefer and need to thrive.
Even if we are only in one place for 24 hours it lights me up to care for and beautify our van. I treat it just like home, it is our home. The chores are less but even more important living this lifestyle.
Reset days use to stress me out a bit but now I luxuriate in them. We also got smart after a few rocky transitions and purposely create space in our schedule so we rarely have to rush to the next thing.
We take the time to clean the fridge, wash the rugs, reset the bed, do laundry, wash dishes, prep food, refill the water jugs, charge thr cooling fans, etc.
Then I create an altar or beautify the space in some way.
It’s the perfect ritual, a beautiful blend of the mystical and the mundane.
It’s a way to slow down and show gratitude and appreciation for the life we have created and get to live.
